John Michael Redmon, 46, of Arlington, died on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge.
He was born May 21, 1968 in Cambridge, son of Patricia and Charles Redmon, grandson of Helen Thornton. John also leaves his spouse, Shannon O’Haverty, two lovely dogs, Lola and Bingo, sisters Karen Smith and Sarah Redmon, and brother, David Nguyen.
John had a 20-year career in public-education teaching and administration, focusing on special needs children in and around the Boston area. John also had an active 30-year involvement in gymnastics throughout the northeast as a participant, coach and nationally recognized judge. Arrangements are being handled by DeVito Funeral Homes of Watertown. Memorial service details are forthcoming.
