John P. Keelan Jr., of Bedford, N.H., formerly of Arlington and Belmont, Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012.

Beloved husband of 49 years of Mary (Dowd). Son of the late John and Helen Keelan. Loving father of Maura Beaulieu of Merrimack, N.H., Lisa Myers and her husband Jay of Centennial, Colo., John Keelan and his wife Colleen of Sudbury and the late Karen Keelan. Devoted grandfather of Alex, Brendan and Dylan Beaulieu, Ryan and Sam Myers, and Kendra and Kyle Keelan. Brother of Joan Connolly of Darlington S.C.

John was an educator for over 34 years at: Mass Bay Community College, Boston College, Babson College, Bentley University, UMass Lowell and Western New England.

Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., (Rt.60, adjacent to St. Agnes Church) ARLINGTON, on Saturday at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass at Saint Eulalia’s Church, Winchester at 10 a.m.  Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 p.m. Burial in Belmont Cemetery.
