Obituary: Helen M. (Frank) Anastas

Helen M. (Frank) Anastas, of Arlington and Port Royal, Cape Breton, N.S., passed away Thursday, Sept. 20. She was 96.

Helen M. (Frank) Anastas in her 96th year of Arlington and Port Royal, Cape Breton, N.S., Thursday, September 20.

Beloved wife of the late George Anastas. Mother of Vincent A. Anastas and his wife Shirley of Melrose, Jacqueline Downie and her husband Douglas, George J. Anastas, John J. Anastas and his wife Jean, all of Arlington. She is survived by her 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Daughter of the late Dolores (LeBlanc) and Alfred S. Frank. Sister of the late Arthur J. and Alfred J. Frank both of Cape Breton, N.S. She is also survived by many dear friends and relatives.

Funeral from The DeVito-O'Donnell Funeral Home 1145 Massachusetts Ave., ARLINGTON Monday morning at 11 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at noon in St. Eulalia Church, Winchester. Interment to follow Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 p.m.

Helen was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, painting and spending time with her family and friends. She was also a cook at the Arlington Head Start Program for many years before she retired. No flowers please.
