Obituary: Georgiana 'Georgie' Rizzo, Lifelong Arlington Resident

Georgiana “Georgie” M. (Descheneaux) Rizzo, a lifelong Arlington resident, died Monday, May 26, 2014, at the age of 98.

Devoted wife of the late Ralph R. Rizzo. Loving mother of Diane M. Rizzo of Arlington and Judith A. Murray and her husband William of Woburn. Preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. Cherished grandmother of Det. Timothy D. Murray (BPD) of Boston and Catherine M. Murray of Georgia. Great grandmother of Isabella J. Murray. Stepmother of Eleanor M. Schmidt of New Jersey and the late John R. Rizzo. Step grandmother of Maria E. Curran of Duxbury. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends invited to attend her visitation at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., Route 60 (adjacent to St. Agnes Church), ARLINGTON, on Saturday from 8:30-9:30 a.m., followed by her funeral mass in St. Agnes Church at 10 a.m. Burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
