Obituary: Anthony J. Grande, Barber

Grande served in the U.S. Army from 1943-1946.

Anthony J. Grande, of Arlington, died Monday, March 10, 2014.

Beloved husband of Florence M. (Grasso) and loving father of Kathleen A. Grande of Arlington, Joanne and her husband Angelo Busa of Bedford and Andrea Grande of Boston. Dear grandfather of Michael Busa and his wife Jennifer and Mark Busa and his wife Maria. Brother of Pantaleone "Leo" Grande and wife Lucy of New Bedford and the late Rocco Grande.

Relatives and friends invited to visit at the DeVito Funeral Home, 1145 Mass. Ave., Arlington on Thursday 4- 7 p.m. and to the funeral mass on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Camillus Church. Interment to follow at Westview Cemetery, Lexington.

Anthony was born in Italy on Feb. 24, 1924. He immigrated to the United States and served his country as a Private First Class in the U.S. Army from 1943-1946. He was deployed at various stations: Guadalcanal, New Caledonia, New Guinea, Philippines, Tulagi, Island Lyte and Bourganville. Anthony enjoyed a long career as a barber.
