“I don’t know what to expect,” D’Onofrio wrote to Arlington Patch, “except that the show has been fabulous and is paying for my airfare, ground transportation and hotel stay. My friend is also flying out with me and will be at the show, so I’m grateful for that. I’m very excited!!”

As you may recall, Ellen called an unsuspecting D’Onofrio on air in late November after seeing one of her Facebook posts that said: “I just answered an unknown number because I actually thought it might be Ellen DeGeneres. I never, ever want to miss that call.”

After Ellen found out that D’Onofrio interns at The Children’s Room in Arlington, which provides support for grieving children, teens and families, she invited her out to the show.

“I love you … I’m so glad I called you,” Ellen said.

After receiving the invite, D’Onofrio told Ellen, “Oh my god, this is so amazing. This is like the craziest day of my life.”
