Ellen DeGeneres Calls Unsuspecting Arlington Woman Live on Air

See what Ellen said when she found out the woman worked at The Children's Room in Arlington.

Daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres recently surprised Liz D’Onofrio, an Arlington resident who works at The Children’s Room in town, with a call on her show.

Ellen called the unsuspecting D’Onofrio after seeing one of her Facebook posts that said: “I just answered an unknown number because I actually thought it might be Ellen DeGeneres. I never, ever want to miss that call.”

Ellen put D’Onofrio to the test, who picked up after two rings.

“Oh my god, wait, wait, this is really Ellen? You’re really calling me right now?” a shocked D’Onofrio can be heard saying.

After Ellen found out that D’Onofrio interns at The Children’s Room in Arlington, which provides support for grieving children, teens and families, she invited her out to the show.

“I love you … I’m so glad I called you,” Ellen said.

After receiving the invite, D’Onofrio said, “Oh my god, this is so amazing. This is like the craziest day of my life.”
