Arlington High Graduate Lands Olympic Internship with NBC Sports

The Ithaca College senior will be helping out with the network's coverage in Sochi, Russia.

Arlington High graduate Jared Bessette-Kirton, now an Ithaca College senior, has been selected by NBC Sports to assist with its coverage of the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, next month.

Bessette-Kirton, a television-radio major in Ithaca’s Roy H. Park School of Communications, was one of 34 students chosen from the school as an Olympic intern.

Bessette-Kirton will be working in the International Broadcast Center during the Games. The center, known as the “Highlights Factory,” is where the network packages and distributes its multi-media content.

NBC Sports’ only other Olympic interns are from Syracuse and Bradley universities.
