Spring, you're here!

The warm(ish), ice-melting weather of this past few days, coupled with daylight savings time, was yet another hopeful sign that this long, cold lonely winter (little darling) will soon end. While we’re all looking forward to getting out and enjoying hikes, walks, and ball tosses with our furry friends without having to dress like the Michelin Man, Karen Fazio’s blog at NJ.com (my home state) reminded me that the change of the seasons means getting pets ready for spring, too.

A long winter can take its toll on our dog’s physical condition (as well as our own). Like many of us, our dogs are “weekend warriors” and can easily suffer aches and pains to the muscles and joints … and unlike us, dogs are very good at hiding their physical pain.

A regular massage by a certified small animal massage therapist can help ease your companion into a full schedule of outdoor activities by keeping muscles supple and joints limber, helping your pal stay on track for a safe and active summer.
