JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR
As the Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra’s first studio recording, ‘Jesus
Christ Superstar—A 21st Century Tribute to the Brown Album’ was the
project that put so many musicians and singers together prompting Sal
and Alan to realize they had an opportunity to make some crazy, new,
giant, rock band. Prior to this recording, the URO didn’t exist.
The album itself was born out of the URO co-founder’s mutual
admiration of this classic, definitive rock opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber
and Tim Rice - first recorded in 1970 with Ian Gillan of Deep Purple
singing ‘Jesus’ (the fabled ‘Brown Album.’)
Now, for the first time on the Regent stage, the URO will perform the
26 song epic ‘live’ on stage - a mammoth undertaking - one sure to
elicit electrifying moments.
About Peer Servants
Peer Servants’ vision is to enable tens of thousands of the
materially poor and non-poor to experience economic, social, and
spiritual transformation. We are a group of primarily volunteers who
partner with indigenous, autonomous micro-finance institutions in
Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean. These
institutions empower the materially poor through micro-enterprise
development wherein small businesses are established that can provide
for individuals, families, churches, and communities. Our micro-finance
partners and the micro-entrepreneurs they serve are used by God to add
meaning and fulfillment to our own lives. The transformation we seek is
not only for them, but for us as well.
