The Friends of Spy Pond Park Work Day

  • Save the Date—Sat. August 2, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. (rain date Sun. August 3, 1-4 p.m.)
This Work Day, sponsored by The Friends of Spy Pond Park,
aims to reestablish native plants at the water's edge and throughout the park, which prevents erosion, restores the natural balance, and beautifies the park. You too can help by volunteering at this and future 2014 Work and Fun Days.

Volunteers of all ages, come help us maintain fern and wildflower beds, eliminate invasive plants, weed out tree saplings, and help prevent erosion along the shore of Spy Pond near the bike path.

• Teens - earn community service points
• Kids - work alongside parents

Even if you have only a few minutes, please join us.
You will be surprised how much noxious false indigo you can chop down in a half-hour!

  • Meet by the playground at Pond Lane (see Map of the Park)
  • Bring water to drink, gloves and garden tools, or use ours
  • All volunteers must sign the Workday Waiver Form each season
We look forward to a productive year, with help from our community!
