UNDER THE STARS”: AN OPEN HOUSE, SHABBAT DINNER EVENT
A Festive Family
Evening – Friday August 23rd
August 1, 2013–
Medford, MA – On
Friday August 23rd
beginning at 5:30pm, Temple Shalom of Medford, located at 475 Winthrop St. will feature a festive family evening to
showcase its synagogue, Jewish Community Center and all its offerings.

Guests can meet with clergy and members to learn about the Jewish Community Center’s
warm, welcoming conservative, egalitarian synagogue,
its array of activities, interesting events and community involvement. Tour the
buildings and grounds including the renovated sanctuary, new library, outdoor
in-ground pool, school and playground.
Representatives from the
temple’s growing religious school will talk
about its Jewish and Hebrew education program and explain the school’s
curriculum for children, beginning at pre-school age.

Members of the temple’s active
congregation will be on-hand to
talk about the temple’s various groups and activities, including social action , women’s, and family groups,
children’s programs, pool parties, game and
movie nights, study groups, book club, guest lecturers, adult education and
much more.
Information about High
Holiday services, children’s programming
and babysitting will also be available.
Following the open house,
guests are invited to stay and
enjoy a special
buffet dinner followed by a Shabbat service to be held outdoors, under the
stars. Desserts will follow the service.
Temple Shalom of Medford
invites interested parties in the surrounding
communities to attend this summer evening event, meet new friends, get to know
our Jewish Community Center and
all we have to offer! Casual Dress,
Interfaith Families Welcome. In case of rain,
the event will be held indoors.
COST: Open House is Free to
All. Dinner: $10 per Adult, $5 Children under 12, $20 per Family
