The setting is the Civil War and a
band of Northern soldiers has embarked on a bold plan to steal one of the
South’s most prized locomotives - the General.
As they commandeer the train, its engineer, Buster Keaton, watches in
dismay.  In a split second, he decides to
chase after the train - on foot or any other means that begins the longest
chase scenes in silent movie history.
This great comedy is action packed from beginning to end.

Mood music supports the film and adds color and
a third dimension to these two dimensional black and white movies.  Come enjoy this classic with your friends and
fellow library supporters. Popcorn will be served!    This program is free and open to the public
