The Old Schwamb Mill is
an 1864 oval and circular picture frame factory and now a living history industrial museum listed in
the National Register of Historic Places.
Open Tuesdays
and Saturdays, 11am-3pm, for guided tours that include a demonstration of the
frame-making process, viewing of the summer art show in the second floor
gallery, and purchase of the Mill’s hand-turned museum-quality frames.
Shopping is
available at the Shaker Workshops store in the Mill’s 18th century barn:
furniture, lamps, rugs, and unique gift items. Mon-Sat 10am-5pm. Mill members
receive a 10% discount.
