Mapping Concord: An Installation of C-art / A collaboration between the Concord Art Association, Concord-Carlisle High School, Concord Academy and Middlesex School

C-art, a new and exciting initiative of Concord Art Association begins with the installation Mapping Concord, opening April 16. Inspired by Concord Art’s spring show, Personal Terrain: Contempoary Mapping, student artists, established artists and art faculty from Concord Art, Concord-Carlisle High School (CCHS), Concord Academy (CA) and Middlesex School will share talent and ideas, and expand each organization’s individual arts programming while providing a collaborative exhibit to benefit the greater Concord community.

C-art is a new program that is in development to support young emerging artists through exposure to working artist, new collaborative processes, and curatorial practices. The collaboration between Concord Art and the three Concord high schools will help art students to develop skills of critical analysis, collaboration, communication and community outreach. In creating this initiative, Concord Art seeks to nurture the sharing of ideas and talent within our historically and culturally rich community.
