Lexington Community Education presents: Discovering the Boston Harbor Islands - An Evening with Christopher Klein

This evening,  author Christopher Klein will take you on a virtual tour through one of our best-kept local secrets: the Boston Harbor Islands national park area. Hear colorful tales of ghosts, shipwrecks, prisoners of war, and Revolutionary War battles that took place on “the real Shutter Islands” and learn about the abandoned fortifications, lighthouses, natural beauty, and recreational offerings that await visitors to the islands today. Copies of Christopher's guide to the islands, Discovering the Boston Harbor Islands, will be available for sale to help you plan your island adventures this summer.

Christopher Klein is a history and travel writer.  A frequent contributor to the Boston Globe and History.com, he has also written for the New York Times, National Geographic Traveler, Harvard Magazine, Red Sox Magazine, ESPN.com, Smithsonian.com, and AmericanHeritage.com. Visit his website at http://christopherklein.com.

The cost of this evening's event is $10.00.  Pre-registration, using a MasterCard or VISA, is strongly recommended by contacting Lexington Community Education at 781 862 8043.
