Lexington Community Education presents: The World of Fine Teas

Next to water tea is the most widely consumed beverage on the planet. Grown in several countries around the globe, the tea plant yields numerous classes of teas, ranging from the commonly known black tea to the exotic white and yellow tea.   Join us this evening and gain an understanding of many aspects of the world of specialty teas including an overview of the numerous varieties of tea, the history of tea and it's place in cultures around the world.  We will learn how teas are produced and how to brew the perfect cup of tea.  Several tea varieties will be brewed for comparison and discussion.  A materials fee of $10.00, to be paid directly to instructor, includes a small sampling of teas to brew at home.

The instructor, Hartley E. Johnson, will provide an overview of the Acton based Mark T. Wendell Tea Company and Grace Tea Company,  local, family-run businesses.

The cost of this evening's event is $15.00.  Pre-registration, using a MasterCard or VISA, is required by contacting Lexington Community Education at 781 862 8043.
