The 24th Annual Boston Jewish Film Festival - Off White Lies

It’s 2006.  Libby, a sharp but withdrawn California teenager, is shipped off by her mom to visit her ne’er do well, absentee father, who is “in between apartments” in Israel. This provocative coming-of-age feature tells of a growing father-daughter relationship set against the Second Lebanon War.  Directorial debut of Maya Kenig.  Nominated for 7 Ophir (Israeli Oscar) awards.  Note:  nudity, sexual situations.
