We are always trying to find our own distinctive technique, expression or visual voice in the arts. The question is: How do we do that? This PowerPoint Presentation will show beautiful mosaic works, materials and techniques from the Byzantine period to modern day and steps on how we find our own style. We'll explore what we do with our art once we find our voice and the materials we like to work with. We will understand how to "Express Ourselves"! Q & A after.
Shelkin’s art work is on view in the current exhibition in the Mill’s second floor gallery “Mosaic at the Mill - A Show of Mosaic Art” featuring the work of 40 local and regional mosaic artists.
