COWBOY SPIRIT TO SCREEN AT REGENT THEATRE IN ARLINGTON, MA
“Cowboy Spirit,” the locally produced film that costars Ayla Brown, former Senator Scott Brown’s daughter, as an aspiring country singer, will have its second Boston area showing at the Regent Theatre in Arlington, MA on January 19, 2013. Directed by Sherborn resident, Bill Miller, “Cowboy Spirit” is the story of a young man who helps save the life of a girl using lessons he learned from his grandfather, a former champion rodeo cowboy.
Executive producer and one of the film’s stars is Mike Allison of Mansfield, MA. Mike, a former rodeo rough rider, also penned the script. “To see a film that was shot in just 12 days on a shoestring budget make a theater filled with 400 people laugh, cry, and cheer all in the course of 95 minutes, I believe more strongly than ever that our first project together as a production company truly is something special,” said Allison
The film debuted to a sold out house in Foxbory, MA. Making a special appearance at the sold-out screening was Rex Trailer, star of the popular children’s TV show “Rex Trailer’s Boomtown.” Asked afterward how he liked the film, the 84-year-old Trailer, who knows a thing or two about cowboys, smiled. “It was great,” he said. “I loved it.”
