Spring Concert: Sunday, May 12th, 7 p.m.
Cantilena's spring concert is called "Poetic License" and will be a selection of brilliant poetry set by fantastic composers. The chorus is delighted to premiere Scott Wheeler's newest composition - a setting of Lewis Carroll's poem "Jabberwocky" - commissioned in honor of Mordena Babich. The program includes Holmes' setting of Kenyon's poem "Let Evening Come," Daley's setting of Yeats' poem "The Lake Isle of Innisfree," settings of e.e. cummings by Persichetti, settings of Alarcon by Bourland, and some verses of Shakespeare.
