One of the amazing cheerleading teams from the Arlington Pop Warner organization has advanced to the New England Pop Warner Regional Finals! A first or second place finish at the Regional finals will cinch a spot for the team at the National Pop Warner Cheerleading Championship Competition in Walt Disney World during the first week of December. Arlington Pop Warner has a storied history with their cheerleading program. We have been fortunate enough to have several teams advance to the National stage over the past seven years.
We are incredibly proud of the work our girls have put into the program this year and look forward to watching them perform next Saturday at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, MA. As one could imagine the trip to Nationals is quite expensive so the program, the coaches, the cheerleaders and their families have been hard at work planning fundraisers to help defray the cost of the possible trip.
This fundraiser is designed to help both the organization and the community by collecting both used clothing and many types of electronics for recycling. This event is taking place on November 12 from 8 AM to 2 PM in the St Camillus parking lot located just off of Route 2 at 1185 Concord Turnpike. Donations of used clothing, shoes, household linens and virtually any type of thing made out of leather or fabric (including stuffed animals!) will be accepted in any condition, as long as they are clean and dry. We are also collecting televisions, computer monitors and almost any electronics/appliance you can think of! Fees for the electronics recycling service range from $5 to $30 depending on the item and size. Best of all you never have to leave your car! Just drive up and drop off! Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for a comprehensive list of items accepted and prices for specific electronics/appliances.
A portion of the proceeds of this fundraiser will be donated to the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Arlington Pop Warner is a non-profit organization and is volunteer run by a wonderful group of people. We are proud of what our cheerleaders accomplish year after year and look forward to what they will continue to do in the future.
