Dinner with Friends: Ristorante Olivio Hosts a Four-Course Family Style Dinner with Wine

On Sunday, November 17th, 2013, Ristorante Olivio, located in Arlington, MA, will host a four-course Italian family style dinner featuring the carefully crafted creations of Executive Chef/ Owner Angelo “Uncle Ang” DiGirolamo and a variety of wines. Uncle Ang’s Dinner with Friends is set at a long, communal table in the middle of the restaurant and is meant to bring together neighborhood friends and family much like the traditional Sunday meals that Angelo grew up with.

“Coming from a large Italian family, we grew up with Sunday dinners. It was how we ended our weekend and began our week: with friends, family and our neighbors all sharing food, wine and good fun. That’s what Dinner with Friends is all about,” said DiGirolamo.

Guests will make their way through the four course dinner served family-style which includes a variety of options including Antipasto di Campagna, cured meats, cheeses, marinated vegetables and olives, Duck Ragu, rigatoni tossed with slow braised duck ragu, piselli and grana padano, La Griglia, mixed grill meats served over soft polenta and Il Pesce, swordfish, shrimp, clams, mussels and calamari, in a tomato fish broth. Each course will include a perfectly paired wine, and the dinner will end on a sweet note with Broken Chocolate Cake with Kahlua whipped cream, chocolate mousse and drizzled with caramel, and Three Cheese Cake with mascarpone, ricotta and goat cheese, drizzled with honey and sprinkled with toasted pine nuts. This family style dinner is $55 per person (tax and gratuity not included) and begins at 7:00PM. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (781) 648-2300.
