A concert highlighting the many sounds and styles of the mandolin family, including mandolin, mandola, and mandocello, as well as guitar. August Watters, director, with Sarah Bell, Celeste McClain, and Ben Torrey, and guest artist Emanuele Cappellotto. Selections from both composed and improvised works that draw on classical and traditional folk, modern (including atonal), and jazz traditions. Informal post-concert session time permitting; bring your instrument. August Watters and Emanuele Cappelotto will play in duo, as well as in quartet with the Boston Mandolins.
