Boston Bikes Presents its Second Women's Bike Social on Thursday, July 10th

Free Dumplings and Bubble Tea Tasting Tour to Take Place through Boston's Chinatown and North End Neighborhoods

Boston Bikes' new Women's bike initiative is pleased to present the Tasting Tour, the second ride of a free series of Women's Bike Socials taking place throughout Boston this summer. On Thursday, July 10th, this second bike social, the Tasting Tour Ride, will meet at Chinatown Park on the Rose Kennedy Greenway for a taste of some of Boston’s more unique local restaurants.

Riders will enjoy stops along a 6-mile ride for dumplings and bubble tea, ending at the Christopher Columbus Park in the North End for a dessert along the waterfront and a picnic dinner provided by Billy Tse’s. Part learning experience, part social outing, this ride welcomes adult women riders of all experience levels, but is geared for those new to road riding.

The Tasting Tour ride is the second of a series of bike socials being organized by Boston Bikes’ new Women’s Program. The goal of this program is to spread the joy and benefits of biking in Boston, and to encourage more women to take to the streets by bike. The Bike Social rides are typically 6-8 miles along a relatively flat route, and at a pace that encourages socializing and interaction. Each ride features a unique theme or destination.

The next biking tour will take place on August 7th with participants riding through Jamaica Plain and to the Codman Square and Bowdoin Geneva Farmers Markets, ending in Dudley Square for a dinner provided by Haley House.
