Arlington First Lights Celebration

Capitol Square
businesses will host East Arlington First Lights on Saturday, December 7th from
12:00 to 5:00pm.



East Arlington
will be busy with elves, carolers and plenty of holiday cheer on Saturday
December 7th when Capitol Square businesses host this year’s East Arlington
First Lights event. The annual holiday celebration will include entertainment
for all ages, tree lighting, a holiday sing-a-long, shopping specials, and
other holiday treats. All events are free.

Here’s a rundown
of the activities for Saturday’s event:



• Capitol
Theatre will show free classic Christmas cartoons

• Elves will be
busy twisting holiday balloons and helping kids make glitter ornaments at
Artbeat



• Take a picture
with Santa at Tony’s All Sports Barber Shop



• Quebrada
Baking Company will give out star cookies.



• There will be
treats and store specials at all participating businesses, including Artbeat,
LUV and Other Gifts, Artwear, Maxima Gifts, Quebrada Baking Company, 13Forest
Gallery, and Salvage.



• Carolers will
stroll the streets delivering holiday cheer



• There will be
a community sing-along at 4:30 p.m. followed by a tree lighting at the Capitol
Theatre.



After First
Lights:



Adorn your table
with a dazzling beaded votive candle holder at Artbeat. Choose from an
assortment of sparkling jewels for the sides of votive and fill in the
background with miniature glass beads in a variety of colors. They make great
gifts, too! This evening workshop is for adults, and includes refreshments and
discounted shopping throughout the evening. $10 or free with a minimum $10
purchase. Saturday 12/7
