The Arlington International Film Festival (AIFF)
is
pleased to announce its partnership with the Arlington Center for the Arts. Our
collaboration began in August as we joined together with ACMi to co-present the
“Arlington Short Animation Film Festival” at the Robbins Farm Park.  On Thursday, September 19th AIFF
and ACA will again join ranks with the presentation of ALL ME: The Life and Times of Winfred Rembert, 2012 jury award
winner for “Best of Festival”.  Mr Rembert,
the subject of the film, will be present for a discussion following the
screening.

The Arlington Center for
the Arts is a vibrant
community arts center devoted to the mission of "transforming lives and building community through the
arts."  Now celebrating its 25th year, ACA was
established in 1988 by a visionary group of artists, writers, musicians and
educators as a place where artists could share their work with the community
through educational and outreach programs.  Today, ACA is a vital and

Synopsis: A feature
documentary, the film chronicles the life of Winfred Rembert, a 66-year-old
African American who grew up in Cuthbert, Georgia.   Rembert spent most of his childhood working in the cotton and peanut
fields.  When he could attend school he
loved drawing but not much else. 
Attendance at a civil rights demonstration got him thrown in jail
without charges or a trial. An escape over a year later resulted in a prison
sentence, but only after Rembert had survived an attempted lynching.  While serving seven years on Georgia chain
gangs, Rembert fell in love with both his future wife and with leather as an
art medium.  Life and eight children
intervened after prison; it was not until 1995 that Rembert began to carve, tool and
then dye pictures on leather in his studio in the front room of his home in New
