Newcomers Joseph Curro and Steven Byrne earned seats on the Board of Selectmen in Tuesday’s Town Elections, while incumbents Jeffrey Thielman and Cindy Starks recaptured theirs on the School Committee.
The results, broken down by precinct, are now available on the town website.
Applications are due at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 26. The committee plans to select its new member immediately after applicant interviews on Thursday, May 3.
The Arlington Public Schools’ search for a permanent director of special education yielded three finalists but ultimately came up empty, parents and staff learned Thursday.
The district’s K-12 director of history and social sciences, an elementary school principal in Wellesley, high school principals in Belmont and Maynard and an assistant superintendent in Norwood are all being considered.
The project is expected to break ground later this month.
