This week there are lots of free family events including: Stories at Songs at the Robbins, a Sing-a-Long at the Edith M. Branch Library, a Teachers vs. Students B-Ball game, Henry Bear's Park welcoming back the Big Apple Circus and a unique, all-ages open mic series to invite your musicians in the family onto the stage.

Why Go: A fun, regular event that will engage you and the kids through learning. Books and songs are on the menu for this delightful mid-morning social time.

Why Go: Another family-friendly event, this time of the musical variety. Join the Edith M. Fox Library Staff for music and fun for infants and preschoolers.
Where/When: , 16 Medford St. Thursday, March 17 at 1:30 p.m.
Why Go: It's the classic rivalry, teacher vs. students in what is sure to be an epic match-up on the hard court.
Where/When: Porter Square Shopping Center, Friday, March 18 from 5-6pm.
Why Go: Family Music Night with Awesome Rob, a Big Apple Circus, Circus to Go Clown and a return performance of The Pixie Sticks one of our favorite local bands. Don’t miss the fun! This one is over at the Cambridge store in Porter Square, right down Mass. Ave from the Arlington Store.
Where/When: The Real School of Music, 56 Middlesex Tpke, Burlington, Sunday, March 20 from 4-6:30pm.
Why Go: You'll have to trek out to Burlington for this one, but it's worth it if you have an aspiring musicians in the family. This family-friendly open mic provides an opportunity for your young ones to preform in front of others their own age and get a feel for what it's like playing on stage.
