Snow Emergency, Parking Ban Starts at 2 p.m. Friday

Snow Emergency/Parking Ban Declared For February 8

The Town of Arlington has declared a snow emergency/parking ban, effective Friday, February 8th starting at 2 p.m. This is a major snow event with high winds and heavy snowfall predicted. The ban will be lifted when conditions allow. Another Town Notice will be sent when that happens.

During a Snow Emergency, a parking ban is in place on all streets and municipal parking lots. It is crucial to keep cars off the streets during this time to allow the Town to clear the roads. Any vehicles parked on the streets during these hours will be subject to ticketing and towing.

Trash Will Be Collected Friday

Friday’s trash route will be collected. JRM will deploy extra trucks to complete collection early and residents should make sure that their trash and recycling is at the curb no later than 7 a.m. and bring them off the curb as soon as possible.

Office Hours

DPW and Recreation Administration Offices will close at noon on Friday, Feb. 8. Robbins Library will close at noon on Friday, Feb. 8, and will be closed on Saturday, Feb. 9.
