Today is Wednesday, Oct. 24. Here are five things you need to know:
.) Arlington Patch reader Ben K. submitted the attached photos to our “Pics & Clips Gallery.” If you like to take shots around town (or anywhere for that matter) feel free to do the same by clicking the “Upload Photos and Videos” button above the gallery, and I’ll do my best to highlight them on the site. Also, if you really enjoy photography, you can always start a photo blog on the site to share your work with the community.
.) We’re also collecting your fall foliage photos, so feel free to upload those as well, here.
.) From the town: Seasonal Flu/Pneumonia Vaccinations Today: The Arlington Health Department will be providing seasonal flu and pneumonia vaccinations from 10 a.m. to noon today at St. Camillus Church (Parish Center), 1175 Concord Turnpike. You must bring a copy of your insurance card with you to the clinic. Copies of the vaccination forms and the list of participating insurances can be found on arlingtonma.gov/health.
.) The Arlington High field hockey team will travel to Winchester today for a 3:30 p.m. game, while the boys’ soccer team will host Winchester at 6 p.m. The Arlington Catholic girls’ soccer team will host Archbishop Williams at 4:15 p.m., while the boys’ team will be at Archbishop Williams at 6 p.m.
.) Today should be mostly sunny with a high near 58, according to the National Weather Service.
