Rotary Club Honors Town Manager, Others

Award honors Brian Sullivan for spearheading a campaign for the Rotary Club that raised more than $7,000 for shelter boxes for Haiti last year.

Arlington Town Manager Brian Sullivan was honored Tuesday by the Arlington Rotary Club, which presented him the 201 1 Paul Harris award.

The award honors Sullivan for spearheading a campaign for the Rotary Club that raised more than $7,000 for shelter boxes for Haiti last year. Sullivan is the immediate past president of the Rotary Club.

Also presented the Paul Harris award are Jenn Tripp and Diane Mucci, co-sponsors of the Shoot for a Cure hockey tournament, which has distributed funds for Cure for Cancer and donated scholarships to high school students and other charitable works.

Two people have been chosen as the 2011 Community Person of the Year. Robert (Bob) Bowes, owner of , and Ellen Digby, director of Local Heroes, an organization that sends packages to troops serving oversees

Bowes and his family have provided 25 years of dinners in a group setting for those in Arlington who may not have anywhere to go on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
