Next Year’s Budget, Facilities Report on Tonight’s School Committee Agenda

Today is Thursday, Jan. 24. Here are five things you need to know:

1.) School Committee members and administrators will discuss their priorities tonight for the fiscal year 2014 budget, and Arlington Superintendent Kathleen Bodie will give a report on the district’s facilities, according to the agenda (attached). Both the budget discussion and the facilities report are expected to last 45 minutes. The committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the School Committee Room on the sixth floor of Arlington High School.

2.) If you thought Wednesday was cold, well, today is supposed to be colder, with a high of only 19, according to the National Weather Service. It could feel as low as -11 with the wind chill during the day.

3.) Something Sweet Without Wheat to open Tuesday.
