Crews were scheduled to shoot at “inside locations” on Hudson Street, which parallels Highland Avenue just south of Davis Square in Somerville, Thursday and Friday, according to an announcement the city sent to neighbors.
One neighbor who observed the film crew’s set-up said filming would take place at a house near the intersection of Hudson and Lowell streets. Indeed, the Somerville Board of Aldermen approved an event permit Thursday for the shoot, somewhat retroactively, for 73 Hudson St. and nearby 20 Vernon St.
There was no word, as of Thursday morning, on whether Stiles, who’s best known for her roles in “Save the Last Dance,” “10 Things I Hate About You” and the “Bourne” trilogy, would be in Somerville for the shoot.
In “The Makeover,” a comedy, Stiles plays “a driven, Harvard-educated professor who runs for Congress,” according to IMDb.
Crews have been filming in Boston neighborhoods such as Charlestown and the South End for much of September.
Thomas Champion, a city spokesperson, said "The Makeover" producers have not scheduled any other shooting locations in Somerville—at least not at the moment.
