How You Can Help Arli

Today is Wednesday, Aug. 15. Here are five things you need to know:

1. There is about a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9 a.m. today, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures are expected to hit 83 degrees.

2. If you would like to help pay for Arli’s medical bills, you can donate to the Animal Rescue League of Boston (arlboston.org/donate). There is no specific account set up for just Arli, but there is a field called “Special Instructions” on the online donation form where you can mention Arli. I’ll be following Arli’s progression over the coming weeks, so who knows, maybe one day you can take her in and show her the TLC she’s been missing all this time.

4. You know the drill by now, the Arlington Farmers’ Market is from 2 to 6:30 p.m. today in Arlington Center’s Russell Common parking lot.

The Arlington Bike Advisory Committee will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Annex’ first-floor conference room. And the Arlington Housing Authority will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Winslow Towers’ John F. Cusack Board Room.
