"Frugal Family" is a weekly column dedicated to giving you five great local deals.

This week, Arlington Patch's "Frugal Family" scoured our local sources to come up with great deals on shopping. The following is a list of deals for the week of April 5 through April 11.

Deal: In this week's circular, Stop and Shop has teamed up with to give shoppers double coupons. These special coupons double the value of any other Stop and Shop coupon you have - up to 99 cents. As an added incentive, the coupons can alternatively be used for up to 30 cents off per gallon at Shell. Deal: Fabric Corner down on 783 Massachusetts Ave., is an Arlington gem for fabric needs. Remodeling the house? Fabric Corner offers all kind of deals right here in town. Fabric Corner recently began their Senior Thursdays, with 10% off items over $2 for those that apply. Deal: As Sports Etc. gears up for spring sports, their featured item of the week is a top-of-the-line Mission Axiom T6 Sr Roller Hockey Skate, great for either street hockey or casual blading. Deal: If someone you know is expecting they're setting up a registry for their shower, Isis Parenting is Arlington's top spot for baby strollers, toys, clothes and other gifts. Isis Parenting has now devoted a section of their website and staff to registering with them. The website uses a small sparrow icon for shoppers to easily locate the most popular registry items and the Isis staff is on-hand if you wish to consult them directly. The East Capitol Square Shopping Events and Specials

Deal: Patch's Frugal Family has gone far too long without mentioning this fantastic shopping center down in Arlington Heights. The Capitol Square shopping center has a menagerie of great stores and restaurants like and , but also boasts something creative in both the and . There is also the Sadie's Shoes and a dozen or so more Arlington originals all tightly packed into the same block. What's great about this Square is that there is a dedicated blog to update you daily on all the special events and services that come to the area. Your East Capitol Square Shopping article says in "Arlington Heights". I believe this should say East Arlington.
