Tryst Chef’s New Newtonville Restaurant on ‘Chronicle’

Paul Turano, the chef/owner of Tryst in Arlington Center, had his new Newtonville restaurant, Cook, featured on WCVB’s “Chronicle” this week.

Cook, which opened at 825 Washington St. in Newton in mid-September, features an eclectic menu, with everything from bacon caramel popcorn to a Faroe Island salmon dish, with quinoa, roasted apple, spinach and a mustard glaze.

Turano told “Chronicle” he wants Cook to be a “neighborhood restaurant” with an “approachable menu.”

The restaurant’s wood-fired flatbreads are highlighted in the segment.
