Szechuan's Dumpling Opens Today

The restaurant should be open at 11 a.m.

Today is Thursday, Feb. 21. Here are five things you need to know:

1.) Szechuan’s Dumpling, the new Chinese restaurant in Arlington Heights, opens today. The restaurant replaces Jade Garden at 1360 Mass. Ave. Read more.

2.) From the town: MWRA Public Meeting on Upcoming Projects Tonight: At 7 p.m. this evening, the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority will be holding a public meeting in Arlington to discuss plans for pipeline replacement and extension in Arlington Heights and Brunswick Road areas. The meeting will be at Town Hall Auditorium. The project is currently in the design phase and construction is not expected to begin until late 2013 or early 2014. 3.) The Super-Cold Science Museum of Science Program is from 2-3 p.m. today at the Fox Library. The program is suitable for children 5 and up. Children under 9 must be with a parent. Space is very limited, and attendees are asked to arrive 30 minutes early to secure a free ticket. Read more.

4.) Recently sold homes in Arlington.

5.) Today should be partly sunny with a high near 33, according to the National Weather Service.
