Until now, Something Sweet Without Wheat has operated as a dedicated gluten-free commercial bakery which wholesales their products to more than One Hundred retail stores throughout the state. The business was started three years ago, when two sisters (whose families suffer from severe food allergies) began selling their gluten-free products at local farmer’s markets. Sales boomed and the sisters began hiring their close friends, all of whom were busy local Moms. Neither the owners nor employees had business backgrounds; which has proved to be one of their greatest strengths. Something Sweet Without Wheat’s success has undoubtedly had something to do with the fact that this remarkable group of women has developed each of their unique talents to help grow the company. If you ask co-owner Sandy Federico however, she has another theory as to their success “Although we run a business, we are ultimately all consumers…so we can relate to our customers, and realize that our honesty and hard work is the key to acquiring and most importantly keeping loyal customers”

Products offered at the new Arlington shop range from freshly baked sandwich breads to perfectly decorated cupcakes. All products are completely gluten free, nearly all products are lactose free, and nuts are not used in the bakery (except coconut). Something Sweet Without Wheat’s mission is to provide crave worthy products at an affordable price for absolutely everybody to enjoy!
