A new gift store and artisan gallery is now open in the heart of East Arlington’s Capitol Square.
Diane Buxton opened Luv and Other Gifts, her first store, at 189 Mass. Ave. back in June, but she’s holding her official “grand opening” Friday, Sept. 27, from 5-9 p.m.
At the grand opening, Buxton will be on hand to meet customers and there will be a live folk duo, Laurence Scudder and Erik White of Spotted Tiger.

Buxton, of Watertown, comes from a publicity background – she worked at WGBH for 15 years as a senior publicist at Frontline and as a publicist for Nova. Now, she is living her dream, she said.
Luv and Other Gifts is open Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7p.m., and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. It’s closed Monday.
