UPDATED: Yummys Now Open

There is a new froyo shop in Arlington Center.

Update 6 p.m., Wednesday, July 10

Yummys opened Wednesday, July 10. It looked like the shop had a decent way to go Tuesday morning, so they must've done a lot in the last 24 hours.

The façade on Yummys, a new frozen yogurt shop in Arlington Center, was recently completed.

Yummys pink interior also appeared to be well on its way Tuesday, and a sign in the front window said the shop will open “this summer.”

Another sign said that the shop is now hiring and to contact akhill77@gmail.com, 617-999-9392 or 617-529-6569 for details.

Since we last checked in with Yummys, the shop has created a Facebook page. A sign said the shop’s website will be www.yummyslounge.com, but it wasn’t up and running as of Tuesday.

The shop is at 474 Mass. Ave., the former home of Something Extra, a women’s boutique. Aneesh Bhambri, a Burlington resident who owns the Sprint store in Arlington Center, as well as two others, is opening it.

Yummys will be just across from the Chilly Cow. Frozland, Arlington’s first self-serve “froyo” spot, opened at 882B Mass. Ave., diagonally across from Arlington High School, in early May.
