Scugnizzi may have its operating and beer and wine licenses revoked by the Board of Selectmen Monday night, as the owner and manager who are listed on the licenses are no longer involved with the business, according to the town.

The owner, Francesco Martini of Lartino LLC, has moved to Mexico, his former attorney, William Grannan, wrote in a July 25 letter to the Board of Selectmen.

Martini failed to transfer the licenses before he moved and hadn’t paid rent in four months, Grannan wrote. In those four months, two checks that Martini wrote to his landlord bounced, the landlord told Grannan.

The manager, Giuseppe Guarino, is also no longer involved, according to Grannan.

The Italian restaurant at 450 Mass. Ave. in Arlington Center has been closed in recent days. Scugnizzi had been named Buona Vita Cucina Italiana prior to July 2012.
