Tom Yum Koong II, the Thai restaurant at 1377 Mass. Ave. in Arlington Heights, has closed, according to the Boston Restaurant Talk blog.

However, a new Thai restaurant, Thai E-sarn Cuisine, appears ready to take its place. The storefront had new signage up Wednesday, and the space was being renovated.

Thai E-sarn Cuisine’s website isn’t up yet, but it will be www.thaiesarncuisine.com, according to a sign in the storefront.

Tom Yum Koong II is the second Tom Yum Koong restaurant to close this year, as Tom Yum Koong III closed in Newton earlier. The original Tom Yum Koong in Medford Square is now the only one remaining, according to the blog.

Tom Yum Koong II opened in Arlington about four years ago.
