Don't ever buy a live lobster there and as far as I am concerned, it can close permanently. I'll never forget the day, last year, I went in there looking for live lobsters and found two dead ones floating in the tank that looked like they had been there for quite some time because they were half eaten by the other ones. I immediately mentioned it to one of the staff and without so much as offering an apology or even acting embarrassed, he took it out with a net of somekind and went back to his newspaper. I and the rest of the patrons were shocked and I bet not one of them , like myself, ever returned.

Location and local is its greatest asset. If looking for overpriced, overcooked fried clams fish or fries and small portions this is the place to go. Zero option if you want baked or boiled fish or scallops. Takeaway fish etc to cook at home is top quality albeit slightly pricey. Consider Moultons in Medford or Kellys in Wellington Circle for consistant quality, larger portions and value.

I live just around the corner, but wouldn't go back, one visit was enough. The fried fish was greasy and tasted like the oil hadn't been changed in weeks - yuck.

..and laura, it probably hadn't been changed in weeks. I still can't get over finding two dead lobsters in the tank that had obviously been there for some time.
