The Chilly Cow is reopening Tuesday, Jan. 7, just in time for what should be one of the coldest days of the year.
The ice cream parlor, at 451 Mass. Ave. in Arlington Center, will resume normal hours Tuesday, according to a Facebook post on its page.
It has been closed in recent weeks (since Dec. 23), as upgrades were being made to expand the Chilly Cow’s wholesale operations.
The following note by owner Brian LaClair was posted to customers on the parlor’s front door:
2013 was a wonderful year for Chilly Cow thanks to all of you! I am very grateful and appreciative of the following and support we’ve received from each and every one of you!
In addition to a great year here at Chilly Cow Ice Cream Shop, we’ve also experienced significant growth in our Wholesale and Manufacturing Division. Given some new opportunities that have presented themselves for 2014 that will start in January, we should experience another year of significant growth!
We are excited about where Chilly Cow is headed as a company and in order to fulfill our commitments for the coming year, we will need to close up shop for a couple weeks and do some small upgrades to both the retail shop and improve our manufacturing capabilities.
Chilly Cow will be closed starting Dec. 23, 2013 for a couple weeks, while we make these improvements. We will be posting our progress on facebook and twitter so you can follow us there to stay up to date! As soon as I have a re-opening date I will be sure to post it on facebook, twitter and here on the front door. Please have a SAFE and HAPPY Holiday Season and we look forward to serving you soon!”
