If you’re looking to treat your mother, mom or mommy this Mother’s Day, in East Arlington is the place to be, according to our readers.
The Massachusetts Avenue restaurant narrowly edged out The Arlington Restaurant & Diner, and in to win our most recent Best of Patch Readers’ Choice contest for best place to go for Mother’s Day brunch.
This Mother’s Day (which is Sunday, May 13 … in case you’ve forgotten), Flora is offering a three-course fixed-price menu, which includes champagne for mom throughout the meal, for $60 (children 10 and under, $30).
The menu features entrées like Maine crab and cod cakes, with a bacon, arugula and tomato salad, and a wine-braised lamb leg, with artichokes, tomatoes, fennel, lemon and rosemary polenta, as well as a vegetarian option (barley and wild rice risotto), a slow-roasted prime rib of beef and a grilled swordfish steak.
Be sure to review the brunch options yourself on our Patch Places page.
We're doing a poll on the Best Staycations in and around Arlington next week. Want to nominate a place that should be included in our poll? Send your nomination to John Waller at firstname.lastname@example.org. This will allow us to be sure we don't leave anyone out.
