East Arlington man charged with Saturday's armed robbery >>

Arlington police are currently investigating an armed robbery.
Arlington Police Captain Richard Flynn said the robbery took place at Ripples Hair Salon at 309 Broadway at approximately 2:30 pm Saturday.
Flynn said a weapon was shown during the incident and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken as a result.
Flynn called the robbery a "crime of opportunity" and said there was "no need for the public to be afraid."
He said additional information could not be released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
