Arlington Community Ed’s “Fall Conversations Speaker Series” kicks off Wednesday, Oct. 2, with bestselling author Larry Tye, who will discuss his most recent book, “Superman: The High-Flying History of America’s Most Enduring Hero.”
The event, co-sponsored by the Arlington Advocate and Robbins Library, starts at 7:30 p.m. in Arlington High School’s media center. It will be moderated by the Boston Globe’s Teresa Hanafin. Tye has written several books, including a New York Times bestselling biography on Satchel Paige.In Superman, Tye chronicles the story of the creators, designers, owners and performers who kept the superhero going through seven decades and counting.
