Update from Town on Trash, Christmas Tree Collection

The following is from the Town of Arlington.

Trash Collection Update, Monday, Jan. 6

JRM is making progress on catching up from last week’s holiday schedule and snowstorm delay. They have completed the collection of last week’s trash and recycling and much of Monday’s route and will resume collections Tuesday. Any trash/recycling that may remain from the Tuesday route will be collected on Wednesday. JRM anticipates they will be caught up on Thursday. As always, please be sure to secure containers and contents at the curb to prevent items from going into the street and to allow JRM crews to reasonably collect them.

Similarly, JRM has started Christmas tree collection and may be behind in collection. They anticipate they will be caught up by Thursday.  Tree collection is only this week and only trees are collected (no yard waste).  Trees under snow or in plastic will not be collected. Please remove tinsel.

Please make sure trees, trash and recycling are placed at the curb no later than 7 a.m. on your regular collection day. JRM will not be returning to areas already visited.
