Should the Town Add a Level to Russell Common Parking Lot?

It’s a question that’s come up before, but it came up again recently at the Common Ground hearing Monday night.

With the Common Ground restaurant proposal requesting 228 seats (up from Gemma’s 82), parking in Arlington Center was in the crosshairs, so the Regent Theatre’s Richard Stavros suggested, “Why not add a level or two to the Russell Common parking lot?”

“It’d solve 90 percent of the center’s parking problems,” he said.

The Russell Common lot is the big municipal lot behind Arlington Catholic High School.
